THE HIMALAYAN MISSION
The Himalayan Mission was conceived by Pastor D.K. Angami on Dec 2, 2002 to serve the community in North India, Nepal and Bhutan for Christ. Currently headquartered in Chandigarh, India, they service the community there and abroad by providing free education, schooling for slum children, Bible and leadership training for pastors of North India, Nepal and Bhutan and evangelize the community with a door to door ministry and crusades to win souls for Christ.
Reach out to slum children
Nearly two million children under five die every year in India – one every 15 seconds – the highest number anywhere in the world. More than half die in the month after birth and 400,000 in their first 24 hours. Malnutrition, neonatal diseases, diarrhoea and pneumonia are the major causes of death.
Parents who live in slums in India are unable to afford basic education for their children. Giving these children an opportunity at a better life through education is fundamental to breaking the cycle of poverty. Providing a clean environment, healthy food, and an opportunity to attend early learning is the stepping stone to living a better life as they grow up.
100% of each dollar donated will be used to help a slum child
